The Design

Designed by Sandy Barnes for Madelinetosh, this cowl plays with gentle, gradient color! With three strands (and three colors) of a favorite lace-weight, mohair-and-silk blend held together throughout, Nuance is worked in the round in breezy stockinette stitch. As you go, the number of strands for each color changes, so that the colors gradually shift!

Nuance was knit in three colors of Madelinetosh Tosh Silk Cloud. With a stunning mohair halo that surrounds a core of silk (a significant 40%), Tosh Silk Cloud captures our hearts again and again with its lovely luster, gentle fuzz, and silky-soft touch. It’s weightless and wonderful on its own, and is even yummier when it’s tripled up as it is in this fun cowl.
